YouthBuild Eco Extravaganza!

The students of YouthBuild McLean County would like to cordially invite you to their first annual .YouthBuild Eco Extravaganza. On Friday April 21st at 6:30 pm YouthBuild McLean County will be hosting the Eco Extravaganza in celebration of Earth Day. There will be a fashion show as the main event, as well as a number of different eco friendly works created by the YouthBuild students. Everything in the show was created using upcycled, recrafted, and recycled items to promote sustainability and eco- awareness at YouthBuild and within the community. The items created by the students will be auctioned off with half of the proceeds going towards the new arrival of Pet Central and half of the proceeds being used to create a commercial kitchen at YouthBuild McLean County.

There are not any ticket sales for this event, but all donations are welcome. Feel free to bring any guests to this show, but please RSVP by email to this event by Wednesday April 19th so we can accommodate for all those attending. We look forward to seeing you at the show!

Bridging the Gap - Building, Investing, and Informing our Youth Workforce

The purpose of this roundtable discussion is to bring together prominent figures in our community to discuss a variety of characteristics and qualifications needed to gain sustainable employment. The objective of this discussion is to inform and educate our organization on what an ideal employee would look like in the eyes of an employer. This luncheon is designed as an opportunity for our youth and staff to make connections, ask questions, and learn job readiness skills from a diverse group of employers.
